Expert technicians agree that the oil change is the single most important maintenance service your vehicle can receive.

How often should I change my vehicle’s oil?

Oil change recommendations vary based on driving conditions, year, make and model of vehicle and in some instances type of oil used. Motor oil is your vehicle’s life blood and changing it according to the manufacturer’s schedule and your type of driving conditions is critical for long engine component life. In addition, oil changes are necessary to maintain your vehicle’s new or extended warranty. The most common recommendations are:

  • 3,000 miles/3 months

  • 5,000 miles/5 months

  • 10,000 miles/12 months

  • As indicated by oil change alert system

Diesel engines require special application oils. We carries the necessary oils for your diesel engine’s needs.

Any oil designed for use in an internal combustion engine will lubricate the engine, just like an antifreeze will work to keep the engine from freezing up in cold weather. However there are a lot of jobs that oil has to perform properly to keep your engine at peak efficiency for longevity, fuel economy and emissions. There are additives added to every quart of oil to help control the corrosive action and deposit formation which are the byproducts of the engine's combustion process. These additives are chemical in nature and naturally degrade over time. Therefore we feel it is important to change the oil at recommended intervals to allow for the replacement of these additives. You should use the oil type recommended by the manufacturer and change it at regular intervals.
